Our Commitment to Involved Residents EDI Training
We are strongly opposed to any form of discrimination and recognize the need to ensure that everyone who works on behalf of the Group, or who uses its services, is not discriminated against. As part of our commitment, we offer Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) training to involved residents. This training ensures that residents are well-informed and equipped to contribute to our inclusive environment. The training covers various aspects of EDI, including understanding unconscious bias, promoting inclusive practices, and fostering a culture of respect and understanding.

Reaching Out to Recruit Residents from Diverse Backgrounds to be Involved in HS RE Structures
We actively reach out to recruit residents from diverse backgrounds to be involved in Housing Solutions' Resident Engagement (HS RE) structures. This effort ensures that our policies and procedures are non-discriminatory and that action is taken to combat direct and indirect discrimination in all our activities. We expect our business partners and agents to be equally committed to best practices and ensure that their policies complement our own. By involving residents from diverse backgrounds, we aim to create a more representative and inclusive decision-making process.

Inhouse Staff EDI Training
All staff, customers, and Board members are aware of how to communicate with people with disabilities and have positive attitudes towards disability. We offer Disability Awareness Training to staff and Board members on a regular basis. The aim is to provide insight into and an understanding of the lives and needs of people with disabilities, along with useful guidance on ways of communicating with people who are hearing or sight impaired. This training helps to break down barriers and promote a more inclusive environment for everyone.
