We’ve launched a trial of electric grounds maintenance equipment as part of our commitment to sustainability and creating better neighbourhoods for our residents.

The new equipment is quieter, cleaner and easier to use, helping our teams work more efficiently while reducing disruption for residents. Electric tools produce zero emissions at the point of use, avoid fuel spills and fumes, and significantly reduce noise levels across our estates, helping to create calmer, healthier outdoor spaces.

As well as environmental benefits, the trial is supporting safer and more comfortable working conditions for our grounds teams, with lower noise and vibration levels and simpler operation.

This trial will help us understand how electric equipment can support our long-term plans to reduce carbon emissions, improve safety for staff and deliver value for money services, while continuing to maintain our estates to a high standard.
