Renting with Us.
We offer a number of different options for people looking to rent a home in the South East of England.
Your rent payment allows us to deliver quality housing and services, including updating our stock and undertaking repairs to ensure that our customers are safe and happy in their homes.
Importance of paying your rent.
Paying your rent on time and keeping your account clear of arrears is fundamental to your tenancy agreement with Housing Solutions. If you do not pay your rent on time, you are putting your home and tenancy at risk which may result in legal action and could lead to eviction and you losing your home. Eviction due to non-payment of rent would class you as intentionally homeless, which means you may not qualify for future re-housing.
If you are in rent arrears and need to report a non-urgent repair job, we will now be talking to you about making a rent payment before your repair is logged.
Although we take a sympathetic view if tenants are experiencing difficulty with rent payments, we must still maximise the income we receive and as such we will take action against any tenant who does not pay their rent or maintain arrangements to repay rent arrears. Rent arrears may prevent a transfer, mutual exchange or right to buy application.

If you are having trouble paying your rent or would like to discuss how to reduce your arrears we are here to help. You can find out about our new RLOs (Resident Liaison Officers) by logging into your account on the Customer Portal
In addition to our RLOs, Housing Solutions also have a helpful Welfare and Benefit Team who offer free impartial advice and assistance with all aspects of benefits. Their aim is to ensure that our customers are not missing out on their entitlement to benefits. All enquiries are handled in the strictest confidence.
