Rent covers the cost of the dwelling.

Service chargers are extra services that Housing Solutions provide. For example, in communal areas in blocks of flats we may provide a cleaning service, or gardening for communal areas.

Rent and service charges are charged weekly and should be paid in advance.

It is your responsibility to pay your rent and service charge


You will be sent rent statements every three months. You can log into your rent account online or download our app to check it.

If you are entitled to Housing Benefit you should make an immediate application to your local council. If you need help with completing the form contact our Financial Inclusion Team on 0800 876 6060. It is your responsibility to apply for Housing Benefit. Any Housing Benefit / Universal Credit you receive must be used to pay your rent.
