Floating Support

We provide some of our residents with extra help and support so that they can continue to live independently.

The service which is funded by Supporting People is available to residents of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead who are in receipt of housing benefit and have been referred through the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT).

Our support staff can help people carry out routine daily tasks, ranging from helping people to do their shopping to working on an allotment to give a focus for activity outside of the home. They can also provide support for:

  • Managing bills and finances
  • Sorting out tenancy related problems
  • Socialising and recreation
  • Education and training

We also work in partnership with other support agencies such as Rethink, Windsor and Maidenhead Voluntary Action and Braywick Heath Nurseries to enhance the life of people suffering from mental illness through alternative and complementary therapies such as the Allotment Gardening Project.
