Rent Minimize

Rent is charged weekly and is due in advance on the Monday of each week.

  • It is your responsibility to pay your rent.
  • You will be sent statements of your rent account on a quarterly basis. Check the statement and make sure it is correct.
  • If you are entitled to Housing Benefit make an immediate application to your local council. If you need help with completing the form contact our Housing Benefits Advisor.
  • It is your responsibility to apply for Housing Benefit. Any Housing Benefit you receive must be used to pay your rent.
  • If you have a problem paying your rent please contact us immediatley. We are here to help. Call 0800 876 6060 for further details.

Rent Surgeries and evening appointments

If you cannot contact us during the day make an appointment to come along to our Tuesday evening rent surgery which runs from 5.15pm until 7pm. Call 0800 876 6060 to make an appointment.

The National Fraud Initiative

 
Housing Solutions Group has volunteered to take part in a National Fraud Initiative which aims to prevent and detect fraud in social housing.
 
This initiative is being run by the Audit Commission and aims to identify members of the public who may be fraudulently renting more than one housing association or council property. The exercise will involve The Audit Commission matching the ifnromation we hold about our residents with that of other housing providers' records.
 
The sharing of this information is allowed within the provisions of the Audit Commission Act 1998, and the terms of the Data Protection Act 1998.  
 
You do not need to do anything - we will only contact you if  the Audit Commission findings suggest that we need to check some information about you.
