The Neighbourhood Maintenance Team is responsible for looking after all communal areas in your neighbourhood. This includes the maintenance of open spaces and the cleaning of all communal areas.
Below are the service standards for Neighbourhood Maintenance Team
Communal Cleaning
If you live in a block of flats or maisonettes and pay a cleaning service charge, communal areas are now cleaned every week.
New monthly cleaning
For residents who do not pay a service charge communal areas will now be cleaned monthly. This change is in response to feedback from customer who asked for a more frequent cleaning.
This cleaning service includes:
- Floors and stairs being swept, mopped or vacuumed depending on the floor covering
- General surfaces such as banisters, handrails and skirting boards being dusted or washed down
- Cobwebs from ceilings, walls and light fittings will be removed
- Communal windows will be cleaned inside and out four times a year
- Communal bins will be washed out twice a year
- A deep clean of internal floor (shampoo or scrub depending on surface) three times a year
Grounds Maintenance
- Grassed areas to be cut every other week through the summer months – from April to September
- A twice yearly prune of hedges and shrubs
- A twice yearly treatment of weeds on hard standings.
During the winter months the team will focus on preparatory works including some re-planting of shrubs, edging of beds and borders and mulching.
